Abstract


LEO satellite communication networks with high bandwidth, low link loss , the smaller star to delay, frequency reuse as well as the advantages of global coverage . Cellular IP communication technology is applicable to dense regions , to handle due to the frequent location update and handover brought mobility management problem . Combines advantages of both technologies , this paper proposes a novel satellite communication networks - Location-based satellite communications network. It is based on the coverage area split routing mechanism , location represents the network address of the ideas and build LEO satellite communication networks. In the network architecture is divided into two models , namely less communication needs for general LAN and intensive communication requirements for cellular LAN . This paper introduces the satellite communications , LEO satellite communication networks, mobile IP technology and other related concepts , followed by analysis of the system cycle segmentation and region segmentation covering both routing mechanisms . On this basis , we propose a location-based satellite communications network , using the network portion of space DRA routing algorithm . Followed by OPNET network simulation software , the results showed that: the new satellite communications network with practical feasibility of the network latency, network throughput performance and mobility management are improved , reaching a new satellite communications network design goals . Finally, the concluding remarks , that the new network is not related to the trouble spots , and to solve these problems in the future focus of the work to improve network performance and research directions .
