Abstract


Lean Production is a scientific management methodology popularly used at enterprises world widely, using tools of Value Stream Analysis, Pull System, Kanban, Standard Work etc to eliminate various of wastes during the manufacturing, Through continuous Kaizen to reach the goal of quality improvement, cost reduction, on time delivery and maximize company’s profit.Tektronix Inc is a major player at electronics test and measurement market, who set up China manufacturing facility at Shanghai in 2003 considering its strategy of lower cost region manufacturing. This thesis using theory of Lean Production, do the research about Tektronix Inc. This paper analyzed current situation of Tektronix China, found the problems and wastes existing at Tektronix, and have deep dive of the root cause of those problems, then develop lean production solution, which including raw material warehouse 5S, probe line P1000 lean conversion to one piece follow, eliminate SC100/SC200 product non-valued test procedure to reduce testing cycle time, Amtax product line establish Kanban, and the replenishment program with its EMS supplier. At last estimate the achievements with lean conversion at Tektronix China.
