Abstract


Our resources total and per capita resources are grossly inadequate , and the same time , China 's energy demand is growing at an average annual rate of 5% , far higher than the world average of 2% . Current the settlements construction process in China , more than 20% of the total energy consumption of the total city energy consumption , water consumption accounted for urban water use by 32% , accounting for 30% of the urban land ; consumption of steel products accounted for 20% of the amount of steel , cement the country's total 17.6 % of the total amount . Of both settlements is 2-3 times higher than in developed countries energy consumption by more than . The data show that 50% of the world 's land, ore , timber resources are used in construction ; 45% of the energy used for heating, lighting and ventilation of the building ; 40% of the water used for the maintenance of the building in terms of resources . A shocking data calls for the arrival of the ecological buildings , to bring greater economic benefits for human and ecological benefits , including ecological house become the new darling of the architects . Therefore , in the 21st century , to create a low-carbon settlements become the theme of the world of residential development is also long-term goal for the development of the housing industry . But due to a low-carbon settlements in China has just started , need we go further exploration and understanding it . The main content of the paper can be divided into three parts: the first part is mainly for the pre- theoretical overview . Elaborated the research background , significance and research status of low - carbon settlements , including the progress of the settlements planning and design study at home and abroad . Also described the theoretical basis of the basic theory of the settlements planning and design , as well as low-carbon settlements design provides a theoretical basis for this study . The second part of the analysis part of the status quo . Respectively, from the settlements overall design , settlements building and live traffic in the area in three aspects on the status of the settlements planning and design , and summarizes the characteristics and existing problems of China 's settlements in the status quo . The third part is the core part of the theoretical research part . Continuation of the status quo analysis of three aspects of the planning and design aspects of the low-carbon settlements theory to explore integration , summed up the currently applicable to China 's low-carbon settlements planning mode , pointed out that the low-carbon settlements with different traditional settlements . Designed for low-carbon settlements planning the existing problems are discussed , and the faster and better development of low-carbon settlements practical suggestions .
