Abstract

The vehicle brake temperature field and stress field interaction for the stability of the vehicle braking performance and vehicle driving safety is extremely important . This paper first introduces the method and content of domestic and international friction brake thermal coupling studies , summarized the law of the brake friction pairs between the heat generated . Chosen as the research object laden vehicle drum brakes , heat transfer , tribology create a friction brake thermal coupling mathematical model to determine the analog laden vehicle at high speed , kinetic parameters and heat transfer parameters calculated . Transient nonlinear finite element software ADINA establish three-dimensional finite element model of the friction brake , using the method of direct coupling , brake the system friction Vice work process dynamic simulation , analysis of the surface studies brake shoes and brake drum , and access to a vehicle different speed limits when fully loaded drum brakes in emergency braking , drag brake , brake within the various conditions of transient temperature field and stress field distribution for 15 consecutive cycles . The results show that , gradually axisymmetrical brake drum temperature field during braking , and the maximum temperature in the friction pair radial center position , brake drum from the inside to the outside , from the the friction pair to the upper and lower end faces decreased . Brake structure has a direct impact on braking performance , the brake highest performance multi- objective genetic algorithm , Brake lowest temperature rise , brake volume three optimization objective function and structure , temperature , volume in the design process each orientation . using three different types of optimization to optimize the design of the brake , get in different weight factor parameter optimization results . The multi-objective optimization method to optimize the design of the brake structure , the results showed that the different weighting factors to match each role , various optimization parameters influence each other , and selection of the optimal structure design based on actual use conditions . This paper analyzes the calculation results due to structural defects ( such as cracks , shrinkage , etc.) caused the failure and drum brakes reasonable structure design , use to provide a theoretical basis for further study of the friction brake .
