Abstract


Chi Zijian is a writer who has own spirit and temperament of the time. For death which literature always express, she brings us particular and aesthetic thinking. Death writing in her novels is very special, touching, and let us in warm away from cold. This is just as her words that she wants to give life“warmth and affection”.In Chi Zijian’s novels, she writes a lot of death, but not reflects the horror and despair of death. Her writing express the life with natural death manner, animate death image, mysterious and poetic death ritual. Her death writing is based on the relief of warm humanity, and expresses the optimistic attitude about death. Appearance of lots of soul let the novels has mysterious hue. She also searches a way of the human suffering as a whole in death disaster to beyond the tribulation or adversity,and constructs the life aesthetics which is powerful and forbearing.This article expatiated from the following several aspects: representation of death manner, death image, death ritual and implication of death writing and so on. Through this article, we try to make a systemic and in-depth analysis about death writing of Chi Zijian’s novels, and disclose its own value and significance.
