Objective:Through the analysis of the correlation of general factors:age, sex, weight, height, body mass index, blood pressure and metabolic blood biochemical indicators (blood sugar, blood triglyceride, cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein, low density lipoprotein, blood uric acid) and ALT value, to understand the factors that affect the upper limit of normal adult serum alanine aminotransferase, provide a basis for re-fomulate ALT ULN.Methods:Collect the information of 1462 healthy check-up people from August 2009 to December 2009, including general situation:age, gender, height, weight, body mass index, blood pressure; blood biochemical indicators:liver, kidney function, blood lipid, fast plasma sugar; abdominal color dopplar ultrasound examination. The data was analysised by statistical software SPSS 13.0.Results:1. The results of single variate analysis:serum ALT value was related to gender, height, weight, SBP and DBP, FPG, TG, TC, HDL. UA;2. The results of multiple linear regression analysis:serum ALT value was independently related to HDL, TG, UA SBP, LDL, age, sex, weight; from strong to the weak is age, SBP,TG, gender, LDL,HDL, UA and weight;3. Stratified Analysis(1). Serum ALT value was significantly different between genders (P=0.004)(2). Serum ALT value had a significantly difference between men and women in every age group (P<0.001, P=0.034)(3). According to the 2007 version of《Chinese adult dyslipidemia control guidelines》to layer the blood lipid, ALT value had no significantly difference in every group of TC and LDL (P=0.315, P=0.208), and had significantly differences in every group of TG and HDL (P=0.034, P<0.001)(4). ALT value had significant differences in normal UA group and elevated group (P=0.001, P<0.001)(5).When FPG≥7.0mmol/L,ALT value had a significantly difference than other three groups (P<0.001) (6). When BMI>24kg/m2, ALT value had a significantly difference than other three groups; (P<0.001)Conclusion:1. When formulating new ALT ULN, we should formulate it according to different gender and age;2. When formulating new ALT ULN, we should consider the influence of BMI, blood pressure, metabolic blood biochemical indexes;3.When judging whether serum ALT value is normal or formulating clinical decision according to normal serum ALT value,we should take gender, age, BMI and serum metabolic index:TG, HDL, UA, FPG into account;
