Objective To investigate the Guangxi Han and Zhuang ethnic group in the radial and ulnar artery diameter and its clinical significance . Selected in July 2007 to September 2010 patients with suspected coronary artery disease hospitalization and first transradial coronary angiography 1,346 cases , of which the Han 1070 cases ( male : 843 cases , female : 227 cases ) , Zhuang 276 patients (male : 226 , female : 50 cases ) transradial angiography quantitative measurement method to measure the radial , ulnar artery size . Results of the clinical characteristics of the two groups in age, sex, height , weight , body mass index , body surface area , and coronary heart disease risk factors (hypertension , diabetes , blood lipid abnormalities , smoking) compared , the difference was not statistically significant (P gt ; 0.05). Guangxi population , the average radial artery diameter was 3.04 ± 0.43mm, average ulnar artery diameter was 3.03 ± 0.37mm , radial and ulnar artery diameter compared the difference was not statistically significance ( P gt ; 0.05 ) . 86.1% men and 57.3 % women , mean radial artery diameter greater than or equal to the outer diameter of the sheath 6F Cordis ; 59.3% male and 24.8 % female radial artery internal diameter greater than or equal to the outer diameter of the sheath 7F Cordis . Han, Zhuang ethnic artery diameter comparison : radial artery diameter ( Han 3.04 ± 0.43mm VS Zhuang 3.05 ± 0.42mm , P gt ; 0.05) , ulnar artery diameter ( Han 3.03 ± 0.38mm VS Zhuang 3.05 ± 0.36mm , P gt ; 0.05) ; gender subgroup analysis , the Zhuang ethnic male groups artery diameter contrast ( radial artery diameter : Han 3.12 ± 0.41mm VS Zhuang 3.12 ± 0.39mm , P gt; 0.05; ulnar artery diameter : Han 3.10 ± 0.36 mm VS Zhuang 3.12 ± 0.34mm , P gt; 0.05) ; female artery diameter between the two ethnic groups contrast ( radial artery diameter : Han 2.75 ± 0.38mm VS Zhuang 2.75 ± 0.39mm , P gt ; 0.05; ulnar artery diameter : Han 2.75 Zhuang 2.76 ± 0.31mm ± 0.31mm VS P gt; 0.05) , no statistically significant difference . Multiple linear regression analysis showed that the inner diameter of the radial artery and gender (b j '= 0.309, P lt; 0.01), weight (b j' = 0.103, P lt; 0.01), diabetes ( b j ' = -0.088 , P lt ; 0.01 ) were significantly associated , related with diabetes negative . Conclusion crowd its radial , ulnar artery size no ethnic differences between male radial , ulnar artery diameter was significantly larger than females use the majority of the population in Guangxi ; transradial coronary interventional procedures 6F sheath or catheter is safe, 7F sheath and catheter is used in part of the population is also feasible.
