Abstract


Background: With the deepening of China's urbanization process, the role of migrant workers in China's social and economic development is increasingly significant, hard work, strong work intensity determines good health of migrant workers first production factors their health, however, can not get enough attention. Therefore, to study the health needs of migrant workers have a vital sense of social reality. The construction industry has a powerful role in employment to absorb surplus labor freed in the overall development process of China's social and agricultural economy at the same time engaged in migrant workers in the construction industry labor personnel is becoming more and more important. Tool industry strong and significant characteristics of farmers engaged in the construction industry, the number of employees in view of its numerous, relatively poor living conditions and practicing environmental, the huge labor intensity, longer working hours, mobility features with distinctive representative and typical, and thus the health management problems of the migrant workers of the construction industry is clearly not to be underestimated. Research Objective: This subject is more in-depth study of this particular employment groups - health problems of the migrant workers of the construction industry, aims empirical investigation of the health status of the migrant workers of the construction industry in Taiyuan, health needs, and The influencing factors were analyzed, and then to provide reference data for targeted health education to improve the health status of migrant workers, and to provide a basis for the establishment of a health evaluation and management model for migrant workers groups. Methods: I selected in July 2010 to December three large construction site in Taiyuan city conducted a survey of health conditions and medical services utilization of migrant workers, to organize the data, 908 valid questionnaires were oriented research and analysis of the health needs of the influencing factors. The theoretical basis for this study is Grossman's health demand theory, the de facto state of health survey in Taiyuan Rural Construction Workers, the objectivity of body mass index and subjective self-rated health indicators analyzed and compared on this basis different income groups in the differences in the health status of the migrant workers of the construction industry. Depending on the measurement of health indicators, respectively, using multiple linear regression model and logistic regression model analysis of the factors affecting the health needs of the migrant workers of the construction industry in Taiyuan, and influencing factors Grossman model health needs of the migrant workers of the construction industry in Taiyuan projections analyze cf. Conclusions: descriptive statistical analysis showed that the health status of migrant workers in Taiyuan construction industry: from the results of the self-assessment of health status, the migrant workers: 1) the health status of migrant workers in the construction industry of different income groups differ, with the step-up in income levels of the health status of the migrant workers of the construction industry and gradually improve; 2) different personal characteristics of the health status of the migrant workers of the construction industry differences; 3) compared with the health of former migrant workers, 23.5% of the construction industry the health status of migrant workers deterioration tendency, showing the existence of the phenomenon of deteriorating health status of migrant workers; 3) from the view of the the objectivity health indicators of body mass index, the health status of the migrant workers of the construction industry there are some differences in personal characteristics and income class differences. Empirical studies have shown that the health needs of the migrant workers of the construction industry in Taiyuan: 1) based on the model of the objectivity of the evaluation, sex, marital status, health needs of the migrant workers of the construction industry in Taiyuan has a significant negative effect, and based on subjective evaluation model, sex, marital status has a significant positive effect on the health needs of the migrant workers of the construction industry in Taiyuan; 2) weekly working time, the presence of the health needs of the age of the migrant workers in Taiyuan City, the construction industry has significant negative effects ; 3) of the four factors of income, medical insurance, medical and health services prices, education level has a significant positive effect on the health needs of the migrant workers of the construction industry in Taiyuan; 4) Taiyuan, the health needs of the migrant workers of the construction industry impact factors there were differences in the regression analysis model for different income groups; 5) from the overall situation, the use of the body mass index as a measure of health status indicators derived from regression analysis results than self-rated health indicators as a measure of health status indicators The regression results are more in line with the predictions of the Grossman model. Suggestions: 1) according to norms of migrant workers labor management, occupational health standards; 2) effectively provide public health services for migrant workers; 3) promote healthy lifestyles and to improve the mental health of migrant workers; 4) suitable for migrant workers medical security system.
