Abstract


The turning up of a representative sports figure always has a close relationship with a special times and certain social environment. Over past 60 years, the athletes have gained fabulous achievements in our sports undertaking, "the 60 great sports figures of new China" have their own characteristics in each period. The news report of the sports figures could obviously demonstrate the change and breakthrough in the concept and model of media report. Through sorting out reported historical events of the figures since 1949, studying and exploration the implicit transmission rules of the news texts, which could provide a better guidance and imitation for our current sports figure report.This thesis will trace the clue of the research, from the micro to the macro context of the study, from sports figure’s concept, feature and social function. The second part mainly discusses the sports figure’s change and breakthrough in concept and model. Through looking back the track of the sports figure’s report, the part described the changeable of the sports figure report in terms of report concept, model and figure image respectively. Then, the author analyzes the reasons of the change and breakthrough of the sports figure report based on the social environment, the journalism development and the audience demand. Looking to the future, our sports figure report is expected to present a new development trend with characteristics of entertainment, thoughtfulness and diversity.
