The domestic academic democracy attention continues to heat up, whether China needs democracy, highly controversial topics such as how to develop democracy. Domestic academia views on democracy are roughly divided into two categories: one represented by Yu Keping, advocating universal democracy, democratic governance corruption, democracy and the rule of law are indispensable, such scholars view the concept of democracy of the party and the government has commonality, that advocates the development of democracy in China; behalf of other Pan Wei as pro-democracy has not been universal, democracy will not tackle corruption, but will result in the generation of corruption, China should implement the rule of law instead of promoting democracy. Then college students how to look at the development of the Chinese democracy it? Whether they will agree with the views of the party and the government, and Chinese scholars on democracy? Paper is to explore these issues through empirical research, to understand the democratic understanding of university students, for the school's political Education to provide recommendations to promote the smooth progress of the college students' political socialization. The basis of this study, 1295 students in 14 colleges and universities in Beijing questionnaire survey data, the use of exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, multiple regression analysis and other statistical analysis methods, the structure of democracy, democratic attitude of the West quantitative research on China's democratic attitude and its influencing factors. Exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis results show that the common characteristic of democracy, China's democratic character and democratic character of the Western connotation of the democratic character three dimensions; Western concept of democracy, including freedom and democracy, to participate in the democratic and pluralist democracy dimension; Chinese concept of the democratic party and the government, represented by a scholarly Yu Keping, Pan Wei, represented by scholars view. After the confirmatory factor analysis of each factor average comparison found, college students more recognized common democratic characteristics, followed by the recognition of China democratic characteristics; views of democracy in China, college students more recognition party, government and Yu can be flat as a representative of the scholar's point of view; views of the Western democracies, college students agree to participate in democracy.
