Abstract


In the recent years, large acquisition activities had been observed in small-scale hydropower firms. How to accurately determine the value of a small-scale hydropower companies, which must require an assessment of enterprise value, and as mergers and acquisitions occurred during the change in ownership of the asset price basis. Small-scale hydropower business valuation for business owners, business managers analyze their business and the correct value of the business-related goals and prospects for development, make acquisitions, capital transfer and other operations on major strategic decisions of great significance. It is not just based on the two sides and even multi-bargaining, but also affect the important foundation for the success of capital operation.In this paper, the value of domestic and foreign companies on the basis of assessment of the literature review, analysis of the company’s primary method of valuation, and this paper, qualitative analysis, quantitative analysis and case studies as well as a combination of methods, Exi Hydropower Development Company to assess the company’s enterprise value. First, from the country’s macro-economic environment. Small-scale hydropower industry environment and the characteristics of the three aspects of the industry analysis of the status of domestic hydropower industry and future trends Secondly, we introduces the basic situation of Exi Hydropower Development company and analyze the main methods of the company’s valuation, including market approach cost approach and income approach, and focus on cost approach and income approach. Then in the assessment of possible models for comparative analysis, the thesis chose cost approach and income approach to evaluate real value of the company. After analysis, hypothesis, prediction, discount, we find that the Total equity value of Exi Hydropower Development Company is 118.3194 Million Yuan with cost approach and 214.9964 Million Yuan with income approach. Finally, through the Exi Hydropower Development Company valuation case studies to illustrate the income method is more suitable for China’s small-scale hydropower companies valuation method.
