Abstract


North Hainan residences is affected by Nanyang culture a lot , meanwhile it is occupy a very important position of modern architectural history and is an indispensable part of modern residential architecture culture in hainan. In the special historical and cultural backgrounds and geographical conditions, this new style of architecture culture in Southeast Asia is on the Central Plains traditional residential architecture as " template " and the development of the formation of northern Hainan Island enrichment and supplement of residential buildings. The research of Hainan Modern Architectural History and the Chinese Modern Architectural History has special social and cultural significance. This study through field research, literature reading and comparative study which base on Hainan and southeast Asia‘s political, historical, social, cultural and other areas, and try to explore the formation and development of Nanyang culture and affect process of northern Hainan residences.This article select typical residences in qiongbei region as research subjects, for this type of housing space form and its unique architectural culture feature research, the environment, culture, economic and social areas start angle, summing up its influencing factors of production. The research found the development process of North Hainan region modern residential architecture which influenced by South Pacific culture. This research also provide the valuable reference and a powerful cultural support for the further study. More importantly it fills the gaps in Hainan modern residences research.However, North Hainan residences is only the beginning of modern Chinese and Western architecture and cultural communication rather than an end. Continuation and development of traditional architectural culture is the eternal research topic, how to critically inherit and develop the building of the valuable heritage needs to be more meticulous studies and in - depth exploration.
