The development of modern service industry has become the effective way to realize the optimization and upgrading of economic structure adjustment, the implementation of important choice, coordinated and sustainable development, economy and enhance the comprehensive competitiveness.In the city the development of environment change rapidly, the development of modern service industry in Nanchang City has already been put on the schedule, as the capital city, the development of Nanchang City, modern service industry is relatively slow, can not keep up with the pace of economic and social development, slow speed, level is relatively low, the layout is not reasonable, planning is not so science, how to build the Nanchang city economic development, how to enhance the Nanchang economic, social image, how to improve the living environment in Nanchang Nanchang City, how to improve the investment environment and so on, the level of development is the need to increase the Nanchang City, modern service industry.This paper uses the theory of public management, combined with the actual situation of Nanchang City, using the SWOT analysis, and taking East Lake district as anatomy specific case, summed up the modern service industry in East Lake District in eleven during the five achievements, from "to enhance the ecological as the starting point, the right to build the Jiangxi financial industry core area","with the transformation of the old city as an opportunity, six aspects to build the building materials has corporate headquarters industry" analysis of the main measures to develop the modern service industry, and points out some problems in its development, aiming at the problems, the paper puts forward six suggestions to promote the development of modern service industry in Nanchang city.
