Beijing, as the capital of our country's rapid economic development, urbanization ahead. This paper aims to geographic information system (GIS)-based, scientific evaluation by factor analysis, cluster analysis of Beijing residents 'quality of life and to find the relationship between the residents' quality of life and geographical elements. Firstly, the theoretical principles of domestic and foreign scholars on the use of the residents' quality of life research and evaluation methods overview of the system, combined with the characteristics of the actual development of the various districts and counties in Beijing, building consists of three levels, 30 basic indicators of Beijing residents' quality of life evaluation index system; and select Beijing four years 2006-2009 in the level of economic development, the basic amenities of life, social, safety and security, medical conditions, ecological environment, education and culture, such as the six socio-economic statistics and the geospatial data, the use of factor analysis of the 18 districts and counties in Beijing residents' quality of life scores were calculated. More accurate and more comprehensive evaluation and analysis of the quality of life of residents in Beijing, in order to ensure the quality of evaluation, the evaluation results can more accurately reflect the reality of the situation, especially from the citywide extracted Haidian District has the typical characteristics of the urban fringe to the streets / township / town level administrative divisions as a research unit, further research local residents quality of life conditions. In this part of the evaluation system, the introduction of the subjective indicators of the factors important sectors of inner feelings as an evaluation of the quality of life of the residents. In the process of collecting data, the sample survey method, survey forms, in-depth, Haidian District, every street / village / town, get a real first-hand data.
