Abstract


Since the RMB exchange rate reform, the RMB exchange rate issue has been the academic , financial and industry one of the hot issues between China and the U.S. have repeatedly clash on the issue of RMB appreciation . Exchange rate changes will affect the entire country or region's trade balance , but whether it will have a profound impact on the electronics industry in Guangdong ? Herein by reference exchange rate reform since the relevant data , import and export of the electronics industry in Guangdong Province empirical analysis , and draw real exchange rate movements on the total import and export of electronics industry in Guangdong impact less obvious this conclusion. Through empirical analysis of exchange rates for different characteristics of resource-intensive industries produce different effects , Guangdong Province reached RMB appreciation on the electronics industry have a greater impact of structural adjustment , capital-intensive products in terms of price elasticity of demand , cost and product differentiation in terms of characteristics that make its appreciation of the renminbi in the context of maintaining a certain price stability and exchange presents incomplete pass . The price of labor-intensive products will have to teach substantial rise in exchange rate pass- evident , the industry reduced profits bigger. The resulting appreciation of the renminbi exchange rate pass- through , with the ability to reallocate resources and industrial structure adjustment effect . Currently, only changing the electronics industry , Guangdong Province, the existing export structure , vigorously improve the proportion of capital-and technology -intensive products , changing the electronics industry exports resources , labor cost advantages as capital , technological competitive advantage, in order to fundamentally build Guangdong Electronics Industry export enterprises exchange rate risk prevention system , which is fit to seek China's current foreign policy orientation of the trade strategy and the fundamental transformation of economic growth mode . Results of this study in the electronics industry in Guangdong Province under the trend of appreciation of the renminbi how to adjust and optimize the industrial structure has a certain practical guidance and reference.
