Abstract


Developing countries, often by way of foreign direct investment in order to obtain state-of-the-art technology to drive the endogenous growth of the national economy . The initial purpose of foreign direct investment in China is to solve the economic development of the foreign exchange and capital shortages , the market for technology , however, now face huge foreign exchange reserves and the residents high savings rate , foreign direct investment really exist as expected technology spillover effect technology spillover effect in our country by what factors and constraints , the problem is that the direction and focus of this study . Papers using a combination of theoretical and empirical research ideas , from the perspective of industrial economics , combined the the externality concept of economics explain the technology spillover effect of foreign direct investment , and overflow mechanisms and the role of the conditions . Build the theoretical framework of the introduction and utilization of foreign investment of more than thirty years of data , analysis of the scale of China 's foreign direct investment , the way , the characteristics , trends , and further study of foreign investment in our technology spillovers problem . Technology spillover effect in order to more clearly measured on the basis of the relevant empirical method comparison and analysis , the establishment of a two - sector production overflow model , adding the overflow of foreign direct investment the Delay factor equation and factors of production productivity differences , study foreign production sector efficiency differences between the production elements of the spillover effects of the domestic manufacturing sector , overflow delay effect between the two departments . China's automobile industry empirical analysis of time-series data from 1990 to 2009 , the results show that the productivity advantage of foreign production department of China's automobile industry than the domestic production sector , foreign direct investment , there is technology overflow but not strong delay effect . Overflow condition consistent with our foreign technical , should focus on the construction of the country's market environment , the introduction of foreign direct investment , policy support , independent research and development and innovation , and better absorption of foreign direct investment in embedded technology and management experience in the host country overflow.
