Since the 1990s, Chinese tilapia exports to enter a period of rapid growth peaked to the growth rate of the early 21st century. Tilapia market in the world, China is the largest tilapia export supplier in the number of absolute dominance. But although a very high market share in China, the product is still mainly primary products, low value-added exports of low profit margins, illustrates the problems that Chinese tilapia exports export trade conditions and trade structure there are certain problems. Therefore, in the increasingly fierce international competition, research status and factors of Chinese tilapia exports international competitiveness and put forward suggestions have important practical significance to promote our tilapia optimization and upgrading of industrial structure. On the basis of the literature review, analysis, production and export status quo of China's tilapia industry, refers to the emergence of the industry trade export volume, export growth is not stable and low export profits. The status of the international competitiveness of Chinese tilapia industry competitiveness indicators analysis reveals the tilapia industry in China has a high international competitiveness of resource endowments and export comparative advantage, and far higher than the same period in China's overall export of aquatic products levels, but prices competitive advantage is not obvious that Chinese tilapia industry trade structure should be further improved, and the world's major tilapia producing countries competitiveness index reflects China has a comparative advantage in the production and export. The author in the analysis of competitiveness indicators based on the use of market forces remaining elastic demand econometric model to measure the tilapia industry in China in the U.S. market, the market forces, and a comparative analysis of the market forces of the United States exports of cod, the results show that China's Luo non-fish products in the U.S. market on the lack of market power, lack of bargaining power by other importing countries demand factor and competitors behavior factors. Judging from the level of domestic industries caused by the lack of the tilapia products market forces in China are mainly vertical differentiation is low, the normative processing enterprises and lack of export marketing tool. On this basis, this paper explores the impact of the international competitiveness of China's tilapia industry factors. China has abundant water resources, cheap quality labor, accumulated over the years from good breeding and processing base, these enhance the international competitiveness of Chinese tilapia industry, while the international market dependence, lack of domestic support industry construction is a major factor restricting the international competitiveness of Chinese tilapia industry. This paper studies suggest tilapia industry in China should improve the international competitiveness of the process industry specific reality, consolidating existing strengths, weaknesses industry construction. The specific measures to: improve the technological content of products, to create their own brand, to strengthen the marketing channel construction, speed up the construction of Tilapia Association and its leading role.
