Vibration signal testing and analysis is a very important part of internal combustion engine testing technology. Based on the test and analysis, instruments provide a method to figure out the fault of internal combustion engine, and we called it as intelligent diagnosis, it is also seems as the frontier and focus of internal combustion engine research in contemporary.This paper introduces a vibration test and analysis system which built up independently, use this testing and acquisition instrument, after connect the computer or industrial PC, operation the virtual instrument system could provide the function such as realize the online collection, monitoring, processing and analysis, recording, and off-line-treatment function. The whole equipment is convenient, economical and practical, and at the same time, in the interface design, data collection, and analysis function part this equipment has some unique advantages.After this, the paper using the facilities mentioned above to do some actual test by 295G type diesel engine, and then simulate the fault environment of internal-combustion engine, analyze the vibration signals after data collection, by various time and frequency analysis (such as FFT transformation, Gabor transform and wavelet transform, etc.), primarily achieved a fault diagnosis method for some particular vibration fault.In the combustion analyzer part, this paper initially introduce the general combustion analysis method and principle, in the key technology part, this presentation compared the different of present combustion analyzer collection process, and figure out the advantages and disadvantages of each method, after this, the paper introduces two control methods to convert time-based signals into angle-based signals, by the software personal developed, this equipment acquire and processing data by particular methods, which are original and efficient, reduce the requirement of other affiliate hardware. After the actual test to validation this combustion analyzer system, describe the design method and the next step to optimize the whole system.
