Abstract


With the development of China's steel industry , the domestic market demand for iron ore rapid growth since 2003, China has become the largest iron ore imports in the country. As the international iron ore export markets tend to focus on the monopoly , while China's iron ore business is highly dependent on imports from the three major mining companies , leading our country in the international iron ore price negotiations in a serious passive situation, do not have the greatest imports to match the bargaining power to the economic development risks. This paper based on the basic principles of game theory , combined with cartel pricing model, the international iron ore pricing mechanism of supply and demand situation and descriptive analysis , the use of China's iron ore production and imports data from analyzes China's domestic iron ore supply and demand situation and the needs of Fangli Yi chain relationships . The results showed that the international iron ore market has the characteristics of a monopoly seller , price from leading suppliers of iron ore ; China's iron ore production is insufficient self- supply domestic demand, and high dependence on foreign iron ore ; China in the international iron ore low bargaining power in price negotiations . In the analysis of the domestic iron ore reasons for low bargaining power , based on the experience of learning the Japanese steel industry development and overseas investment practices , raise iron ore bargaining power to improve our country 's strategy recommendations: to strengthen inter-firm alliances, improve and standardize the steel industry concentration the domestic market , the introduction of financial capital , the establishment of iron ore futures market , the development of offshore mining, iron ore diversification strategy to establish reserves.
