To investigate the occurrence of injury in the past year, Jiangsu Province, 60-year-old and older. The survey included a general survey, socio-economic status, physical health status and injury occurred. Statistical methods included descriptive analysis, χ2 test, non-conditional logistic regression analysis. Results: The study investigated a total of 6,245 elderly people, including the number of injuries occurred within one year 278, and the incidence of injuries was 4.45%. Men was 4.22%, and female injury rate of 4.68%, the difference was not statistically significant (χ 2 = 0.80, P gt; 0.05); older persons in rural areas injury incidence of 5.03%, 3.10% of the incidence of urban areas , the difference was statistically significant (χ2 = 11.36, P lt; 0.05). Injury incidence rate for all age groups was not statistically significant (χ2 = 0.55, P gt; 0.05). Elderly the top five causes of injuries according to the size of the incidence followed by falls (2.79%), road traffic injuries (0.73%), animal bites (0.35%), sharp injuries (0.16%) (0.11, hit by a hard object %). The injury occurred Place family (39.92%) and roads (37.36%). The elderly hurt, 17.03% and 14.40% of the women and men occurs twice a year, and more than harm. 72.00 percent of the injuries are sustained minor injuries not requiring hospitalization and outpatient treatment. 4 Multivariate logistic analysis showed that elderly injury risk factors include divorced / widowed (OR = 1.6,1.2 ~ 2.1), unmarried (OR = 1.8,1.0 ~ 3.2), drinking frequency 1 ~ 2 times / week and above (OR = 1.5,1.1 ~ 2.0), and occasionally doing physical exercise (OR = of 1.4,1.0 ~ 1.9). Conclusion: older, Jiangsu Province, the high incidence of nonfatal injury at the national level, falls are the leading cause of elderly injury. Regular drinkers, widowed / divorced, less physical exercise is an injury risk factors. Related to of elderly injuries occur with a variety of factors, prompted adopt comprehensive prevention and intervention measures should focus on high-risk groups and injury prevention and control for the elderly.
