Abstract


The purpose of the recent studies have shown that , by electron microscopy or light microscopy can be observed in non-erosive gastroesophageal reflux disease ( non- erosive reflux disease , NERD ) patients with esophageal squamous cell gap widened ( dilated intercellular spaces DIS ) , think that it might acid a morphological signs of esophageal epithelial damage . However, little is known about the relationship between the DIS and the symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease , and lead to the DIS factors are not very clear . The purpose of this study is to clarify the symptoms of patients with NERD type , on the the reflux type and esophagus , the lower section of squamous cell gap . Method clinically by Gerd Q diagnosis of 49 cases of patients with NERD C group, 17 patients divided into three groups according to the main clinical symptoms A group of 15 patients with typical symptoms of heartburn and reflux ; B group, 17 patients with chest pain and reflux symptoms ; with esophageal symptoms and reflux symptoms . The healthy control group of 12 patients . All subjects received gastroscopy in the LES above 5cm and the UES below 10cm respectively biopsy , hematoxylin - eosin staining in the light microscope to measure esophageal squamous cell gap . Of these , 22 patients underwent joint multichannel intraluminal pH impedance monitoring ( MII- PH ) , 23 patients underwent esophageal function testing . Results of no difference in cell gap between the upper and lower ends of the groups esophagus . Compared with the healthy control group , the upper and lower segments of NERD patients with esophageal squamous cell gap was widened (1.20 ± 0.61 vs. 0.50 ± 0.18, 1.18 ± 0.49 vs.0.54 ± 0.15 , P lt ; 0.001) . A , B group esophagus , the lower section of the cell gap compared with the C group were significantly widened ( 1.30 ± 0.60 ; 1.42 ± 0.74 vs. 0.91 ± 0.31 , P lt ; 0.05 and 1.31 ± 0.64 ; 1.31 ± 0.46 vs. 0.94 ± 0.21 , P lt; 0.05). No difference in esophageal squamous cell gap of the the esophageal upper and lower motor function and motor function disorders ( vs.1.24 ± 0.79 , 1.23 ± 0.66 ; 1.17 ± 0.52vs.1.42 ± 0.59 P gt ; 0.05) . Abnormal lower esophageal acid reflux than normal obviously enlarged (1.76 ± 0.62 vs. 1.11 ± 0.48, P lt; 0.05). The weak acid reflux and gas , liquid mixed reflux and reflux to the parts of the esophagus on the DIS . DIS is a micro morphological changes of gastroesophageal reflux esophageal epithelial damage conclusions may be symptoms of heartburn and chest pain morphological basis , the incidence of esophageal symptoms in addition to the participation of other factors may be outside the DIS . DIS may as NERD 's a clinical diagnostic tool .
