Abstract

There are three development directions for new energy vehicles, they are: improving the efficiency of existing engines and vehicle system, using clean and non-oil fuel in current engines, and the electrification of vehicles. Considering the directions above, the electrification of vehicles is the current trend. With the constructing of charging stations around our country, pollution of charging machines towards electric power grids has becoming increasingly serious, therefore, eliminating system harmonic pollution and improving the power factor of the charging equipments has required as a necessary premise of charging devices. This thesis proposes the three-phase PFC modules which based on the charging system and has small harmonic, high power factor, thus preferable for charging station. This thesis introduces the overview on development of rectifiers in power electronics industries, concludes the several control methods of three-phase rectifier realization as well as points out the advantages and disadvantages of each method, especially the disadvantages of the harmonic pollution to electric power grids. In contrast, the voltage space vector modulation method can achieve four-quadrant operation. Especially when under rectifying conditions, the control method of SVPWM can achieve the rectification of unit power factor, smaller distortion of current waveforms and so on. This charging module solves the problems of harmonics population as well as the distortion of current waveforms successfully. This thesis derives the SVPWM algorithm in detail, and constructs a three-phase PWM voltage rectifier in Matlab/Simulink environment, implements the digitization of three-phase rectifier using Freescale DSP56F803 as well as applies it in the charging devices of the Asian Games successfully, thus validates its good performance.
