Abstract


The transfer of the surplus agricultural labor in China presents a new phenomenon since 21st century, that is , farm workers migrating to cities for work and starting an undertaking in their hometown co-existing. The emergence of this new trend, so that we can not help but think of such a seemingly contradictory problem, at present China is still existing millions of rural surplus labor needing to transfer to non-agricultural industries, why so many migrant workers choose to starting an undertaking in their hometown and show what the different economic circumstances? Whether migrant workers starting an undertaking in their hometown with endogenous?The study of this paper is to uncover the veil behind the migrant workers starting an undertaking in their hometown. From this starting point, we can pry out some reasons, characteristics, and the environment behind migrant workers’ economic behavior. This article beginning with the analysis of the history of rural surplus labor transfer process in order to make people understand that migrant workers starting an undertaking in their hometown based on the transfer of rural surplus labor. Then, this article briefly analyzes the status of the internal and external conditions of migrant workers starting an undertaking in their hometown. Because of this intuitive understanding of the reality, we have the courage to discuss migrant workers returning home to start business deeply. The focus of this article is to establish a microscopic model and to discuss the economic ration behind the starting an undertaking in their hometown of migrant workers under the exogenous conditions of the institutional environment. It is inspiration that the behavior of relating to decision-makers create a favorable economic and social conditions, innovate the system, thus promoting the migrant workers starting an undertaking in their hometown healthy.In short, this article is to demonstrate to the readers that migrant workers starting an undertaking in their hometown is not only a behavior in their own pursuit of the maximum benefits, but also promoting the rural capital accumulation, raising the level of small towns and the county’s economic development. This phenomenon is confirmed by farmers as the main building of new socialist countryside character of the background.
