Abstract

Currently, the fiber-reinforced composite polymer ( FRP) is treated as a constraint material has been applied on a large scale to the building structural engineering . FRP material having a high specific strength ( strength to weight ratio) , high tensile strength, good durability and ease of construction , etc. . To significantly improve force performance have been built of reinforced concrete columns , FRP materials for the reinforcement of the existing building structure and reinforcing the increasingly widespread use . FRP reinforcement of reinforced concrete column ( sometimes referred to as integrated reinforced concrete column ) , broader application in structural engineering and bridge engineering . The main purpose of this paper is to study the impact of the size of the concrete cylinder compressive strength of CFRP under axial loading constraints . Tests include 24 concrete cylindrical specimens of different sizes , small, medium and large size of the diameter of the column were 100, 200 and 300mm, the height to diameter ratio of 2:1 . The small size , medium size and large-size specimens were outsourced , 2 and 3 layers of CFRP, to ensure that each specimen radial binding . The test results show that the compressive strength of concrete cylinders constrained largely improved , and under the same binding conditions , CFRP constraints no size effect of the uniaxial compressive strength of concrete cylinders .
