Abstract


With the recent increasment in the amount of ships at sea, the probability of ship collision is also increasing. How to realize real time, accuracy communication between ship and ship, ship and the shore to avoid collision accident is one of the most important issues faced by the current water transportation. Among the many means of solutions, AIS technology has attracted the world’s attention for its incomparable superiority. Meanwhile, according to China’s national conditions, there are a huge amount of offshore fishing boats, and these boats sail away from the shore line resulting in a high density of boats, and there is a high likelihood of accidents, so the low cost class B AIS devices are very suitable for the small vessels.This dissertation takes the CSTDMA B class AIS devices as research object, and a design of CSTDMA B class AIS baseband communication method is presented on the basis of B class AIS protocol. Based on the presented method, the design and implementation process of hardware and software are described, and the phenomenon and result of the testing are analyzed.For hardware design, according to the functional requirements of CSTDMA B class AIS system, the design tools and their using method for the hardware design are explained, and the hardware connection for the baseband communication of B class AIS system is determined, including the overall connection diagram and the functional modules and external circuit schematics.For software design, according to the functional requirements of IEC62287 protocol and Class B AIS system, and with the principles of system design to unit design and then system design, the whole system is firstly divided into several different functional modules, and then the module functions are realized one by one. Then, these module functions are assembled together. For these function modules, the flow chart, C_BUS register function and configuration instructions for implementing the software of CSTDMA B AIS functions are presented. Finally, the debugging and testing for the realized function modules is performed with the designed circuit board, and the tesing phenomenon and result analysis for every unction module are explained.
