Abstract


Our country’s automotive industry is developing at a highly speed in the recent years. The number of automobile is increasing rapidly, too. And as the improment of understand about automobile people have paid more attentions to the performance of the vehicle. As we known, the transmission is irreplaceable in the vihecle. It plays a essential role in the drive train of the automotive. The kinematic characteristics and dynamic characteristics of the transmission not only related to it’s own performance but also have significant impact on the vehicle’s performance. The influences on the vehicle include many aspect, especially have direct impacts on the vehicle dynamic quality, the fuel economy and the control stability of the vehicle. However, the time of the shift operation and the level of smooth shift instands the performance of the transmission.The Unigraphics NX 6 is a digital product development and comprehensive software solutions released recently by American UGS company. The UGS has the most extensive integrated applications of the industry. Including the process of product design, engineer and manufacture. UGS software has been alwaya widely used in the automotive industry.The paper is mainly according to the mini car’s transmission of SGMW. I had learnded a lot about the automobile’s transmission befor this program. With the automotive industry soarly developed for nearly 100 years, there are diversity of transmissions. I had a good command of the work principle of all the transmissions. The development of each type of the transmission involves many aspects. It includes shift performance, and the decorate ways also matters. For example, the decorate ways of gears have direct influence on the dynamic property and the fuel economy. The synchromesh is essential to the transmission, the majority synchromeshs have the smooth shift property, hence almost all the vehicles have the synchromesh. It’s helpful to alleviate worker labor strength, to make the processing convenient and long the life of gears. This also can make the vehicle safe and be comfortable to take. And lead to both good fuel economy and acceleration. There are two indexes to assess the synchromesh performance, one is the time of shift operation, another is smooth shift performance. The paper has calculated the time of shift operation and optimized the transmission performance.
