In recent years, with the rapid economic development of Beijing and the rapid increase in car ownership , road traffic problems become more and more prominent . In order to ease traffic congestion , improve traffic safety , the Beijing Traffic Management Bureau , built in 2008 , Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS ) . In order to quantify the economic benefits of the system is very necessary to evaluate an objective assessment of the effect of the system and the input-output ratio . ITMS all aspects effective , safe and effective evaluation is one of the important contents . In this paper, from an economic point of quantitative evaluation of the safety benefits of ITMS , mainly including the following: 1 . Establish the safety benefits of intelligent traffic management system evaluation index system , including the two major categories of road traffic factors and non - traffic accidents factors , a total of 14 indicators and specific method of calculation of the indicators . 2 . Safety benefits of an intelligent traffic management system evaluation methods - effective loss ratio method . The method of the intelligent traffic management system as a traffic safety facilities , in order to achieve the purpose of excluding non- ITMS factors affecting ratio method ( odds ratio ) , select by drawing on the advantages of Traffic Safety Facilities Evaluation contrast regional and contrast time . Beijing area traffic safety data , the effective loss the ITMS safety effectiveness evaluation Beijing area ratio method , and the evaluation of the results were analyzed and compared , some conclusions about the the ITMS safety benefits .
