Abstract


Purpose:To discuss the value of different MRI sequences in the diagnosis of breast examination, and the association between dynamic enhanced scan parameters of breast MRI and the pathological results.Materials and methods: 42 patients with breast disease underwent dynamic contrast enhanced MRI scan on Siemens 3.0T MR scanner, T1 weighted imaging (T1WI), T2WI with fat suppression (FS) and Dynamic Contrast Enhanced Magnetic Resonanee Imaging (DCE-MRI) were performed to compare the value of these sequences in breast MRI. Measuring relevant dynamic enhancement parameters:steepest slope (Smax)、maximum enhancement (Emax)、time-to-peak (Tpeak)、the signal intensity ratio after enhanced 1-5 minutes(E1-E2). Comparing the association between dynamic enhanced scan parameters and the pathological results and researching different parameters on the diagnosis of breast diseases.Results:42 patients with 60 Lesions (benign 11 cases and malignant 49 cases) were examined successfully; The detection rate of the lesion is 43.3%、56.7%、65% and 100% in T1WI, T2WI, T2WI-FS and DCE-MRI, respectively. Dynamic contrast-enhanced scan can clearly display anatomical lesion location, size, morphology features, internal structure and blood perfusion, which will improve the detection rate of lesions. The parameters Smax、E1、E2、E5、Tpeak are associated with the breast cancer, Smax and El are the strongest correlation with breast cancer. Tpeak is negative correlation.Conclusions:T1WI, T2WI are conventional sequence of breast MRI, Dynamic contrast-enhanced MR scanning is necessary and plays a decisive role in the detection and diagnosis of breast lesions. The parameters Smax、E1、E2、E5、Tpeak of dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI scan are associated with the breast cancer,which can be combined with the morphology features to improve the detection rate of breast cancer.
