Objective To summarize the experience in the treatment of the intertrochanteric fracture analysis of hybrid external fixator and anatomic plate fixation of clinical efficacy . Methods From October 2006 to June 2009 , patients with intertrochanteric fracture 42 cases , which combined external fixator ( hybrid external fixator group ) 19 cases , 7 males and 12 females , aged 71 to 103 years; fracture 3 cases of Evans classification I , type II 5 cases , 6 cases of type Ⅲ , Ⅳ five cases ; anatomical plate in the treatment ( anatomical plate group ) 23 cases , 9 males and 14 females , aged 73 to 97 years; five cases of fracture type I , type II 4 cases , 10 cases of type Ⅲ type IV , V- 2 cases . After surgery in both groups in Qili tablets in the treatment of oral bone . The two groups of operative time , blood loss , hospital stay , weight-bearing ambulation time, fracture healing time and treatment effects were compared , and for statistical analysis . All patients were followed up for 6 to 15 months , with an average of 8.6 months . Hybrid external fixator group (86.368 ± 3.6395) according to the Harris score points, points and anatomical plate group (86.435 ± 4.1977) Comparison of two groups , the difference was not statistically significance ( P gt ; 0.05) ; operative time , intraoperative in blood loss, hospital stay , weight-bearing ambulation time , fracture healing time comparison , the difference was statistically significant ( p lt; 0.05 ) . Conclusion hybrid external fixator with anatomical plate in the treatment of intertrochanteric fractures can obtain satisfactory results , a simple external fixator combined the advantages of small surgical injury , better suited to the physical condition is poor and can not tolerate large surgery patients ; proprietary Chinese medicine bone Qili piece on a limb to some extent alleviate the pain, promote fracture healing aspects efficacy . The authors believe that external fixation and Chinese medicine treatment of intertrochanteric fractures suitable for clinical application , it is necessary to conduct clinical research .
