Abstract


Objective:To compare the one-year outcome between complete and incomplete revascularization by percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in old patients (age≥60y) with multivessels coronary disease.Methods:From Jau.2009 to Mar.2010,a total of 146 old patients with multivessels coronary disease were treated with PCI in our centre, of which 80 patients achieved complete revascularization and the rest 66 patients were treated with incomplete revascularization; but 14 patients cannot be connected. Major adverse cardiac and cerebrovascular events (MACCEs; death, cerebrovascular accident, myocardial infarction, and any revascularization), heart function and the quality of life were compared between the IR and CR group after the PCI.Results:1, There are no significant differences between the 2 groups in the rate of MACCEs(P>0.05).2, No considerable differences are observed in heart function between the 2 groups(P>0.05).3, The quality of life in the CR cannot be considered superior to the IR(P>0.05).Conclusion:No great differences are observed between the CR and IR groups in the one-year clinical results, which means that there are no significant differences between the 2 groups in the rate of MACCEs(P>0.05), heart function and the quality of life.
