The purpose of this study is that modern scientific methods of Chinese medicine microscopic identification , thin layer chromatography , UV, GC-MS analysis of sunflower root in different parts of its ethanol extract , water extract and volatile oil pharmacognosy , to establish sunflower root medicinal quality standards provide a scientific basis , so as to lay a solid foundation for the development and utilization of sunflower medicinal value . This is the first use of GC-MS detection, volatile oil of sunflower root successfully detected 30 three active ingredients .
