Abstract


In the end of the Ming dynasty and beginning of Qing dynasty, some more decorative decoration like fishing, firewood, plough, reading appeared on the Jingdezhen porcelain. In this paper, the character and why formed of these decoration would be detailed analysed and discussed to the use of image science, fine arts, and history research methods. This statement was based on the relevant research of our predecessors which involves cultural significance, evolution process, link of ceramic and printmaking during the end of Ming dynasty and beginning of Qing dynasty, development of Jingdezhen ceramic, and so on. By studying the result of our predecessors and discussing on the relevant area, this paper wants to make a detailed research on the decoration of fishing, firewood, plough, reading in the end of Ming dynasty and beginning of Qing dynasty. Firstly, a simple description of cultural historical significance on the decoration and some representive poems and changes of it from spring and autumn period to Ming dynasty ,especially focus on the relevant decoration in Song and Yuan dynasty. Wanli is a period that printmaking developed most gloriously but political turmoil, cultural most varied, artistic style individual. All of these had great influence to the Jingdezhen’s ceramics in the end of Ming dynasty and beginning of Qing dynasty. There is clear stamp of the age of this kind of decoration from either its structure or style. Through the discussion of the content above, we would have a more comprehensive known on the ceramic of Jingdezhen during the age, and it helps us appraised the ceramic of the age accurately.
