Abstract


Liao Xiuping known as "internationally renowned printmaker, is the pioneer andthe undisputed pioneers of graphic art in Taiwan, Chinese Prints and international leaderin the international influence printmaker. With his many years of artistic experience andunique artistic language, Liao Xiuping accounted for in the international printmaking artworld was a place, his work frequently appeared in the international exhibition andaward-winning, major museums of the world collection, and at home and abroad held anumber of successful solo exhibitions.After the fame, he still did not forget to repay upbringing to his native country, andactively teach foreign advanced printmaking techniques and ideas, and promote theprocess of printmaking; lectures on the mainland, and to promote the development ofChinese "three"; individual funded Liao Xiuping Graphic Arts Award, to encourage theyounger generation of printmaking enthusiasts to actively participate in printmaking,and the preparation of the prints textbooks, printmaking fans, a full theoretical guidance;founded the Taiwan international Print Biennial in Taiwan,for Chinese printmakerproviding a platform to participate in international exhibitions, but also the country’straditional prints to promote to the world, to promote the exchange of graphic art athome and abroad.His artistic journey across Asia, Europe and the United States and three continents,the artistic vision of the expansion of his artistic achievements of China’s traditional artcloser together. His efforts to grasp the spirit of Eastern art in printmaking, oftencombined with traditional Chinese patterns and modern Western art forms, both strong and modern, to show the spiritual connotation of the ancient civilization.
