The Second World War broke out in September 1939. With German’s quick victory in Europe, Japan’s aggression and expansion in the Asia Pacific region escalated quickly. In view of overall strategy, Asia Prior to Europe, the United States began to consider a limited military input in China, to support the Anti-Japanese War. After the outbreak of the Pacific War in December 1941, the United States entered the war, and its strategy in Asia was using China as the main battlefield of counter the Japanese Army and the main base of total counter-offensive against Japan. Sino-US military alliance officially formed against Japan, and U.S. military investment in China increased significantly. After the Quebec conference in August 1943, despite the change in U.S. Asia-strategy, which China reduced as an auxiliary field of the Pacific war, there’s no reduction in the U.S. military investment in China, but continuing increase.This paper introduces changes of the U.S. Asia-Strategy during World War II, and the increase process of the military input in China, based on the U.S. official history, which includes the U.S. military’arms, designation, important battles, records, etc; also analyze what affects the U.S. military investment in China; the purpose is to give an objective presentation of the U.S. action in China during World War II, to evaluate the role of U.S. in the war against Japanese fascist justly.The thesis is divided into four parts.The first part discusses U.S. policy was becoming more active toward China after the outbreak of World War II, began to consider a limited military input in China, to apply the Lend-Lease Act to China, and to support the folk volunteer Flying-Tigers aid to China war; the Second and third parts consider the Quebec conference as a watershed, described the U.S. strategy in Asia and the military input in China, including the US arms of arms, military designation, the number of troops, and combat operations, etc.; the fourth part discusses the specific reasons that impact of U.S. military investment in China. In general, the U.S. military investment in China showed the situation continued to improve, after the outbreak of World War II. Although some factors did interfere and limit their input, in general, the United States action showed strong consistency, and its basic objective was to maintain China Anti-Japanese War not to collapse, in order to make the Japanese main army stay here, then full counter-offensive against Japan until the end of the war in Europe.
