Abstract


The new round of basic education curriculum reform has entered a stage of full implementation . The new curriculum has changed the original curriculum system and curriculum ideas , a strong impact on the traditional curriculum , teaching activities , a lot of new requirements put forward ideas and professional development of teachers . English teachers in urban and rural areas as a major force in the basic education curriculum reform , especially the development of pedagogical content knowledge of their professional development faces greatly challenges . In this paper, the urban and rural secondary school English teachers' pedagogical content knowledge for the study, a comprehensive display of the status of the urban and rural English teachers pedagogical content knowledge through follow-up survey of the English classroom . Investigation on the basis of the four teachers in the classroom teaching , and subject teaching theory , under the guidance of this article from four aspects of the urban and rural secondary school English teachers pedagogical content knowledge a comparative study , specific analysis of the disciplines of urban and rural English teachers teaching comparative approach knowledge, so as to achieve our urban and rural English teachers pedagogical content knowledge status and found that the problems of the high school English teachers in the pedagogical content knowledge , Finally, we also put forward recommendations to solve the problem . Conducted by this research the following conclusions : the pedagogical content knowledge of middle school English teachers , especially rural secondary school English teachers' pedagogical content knowledge is not optimistic . Pedagogical content knowledge of high school English teachers in rural areas compared with urban middle school English teachers there are the following two problems : not enough rich subject knowledge , not good disciplines of professional knowledge , pedagogy , psychology, knowledge , cultural knowledge links . Rural secondary school English teachers in pedagogical understanding of some of the teaching methods is not impressive enough , outdated teaching methods and educational philosophy of the new curriculum has not been fully accepted . Problems exist for more than rural secondary school English teachers , social departments and personnel should make a reflection on how the scientific development of rural secondary school English teachers pedagogical content knowledge and propose solutions , training units from the overall situation , improve teacher education training work , training efforts to increase rural middle school English teachers , not as a form of teacher training stream .
