Abstract

Self-study exam of Higher education is a kind of education examination system, and it is original in China, in which self-study is important, teachers’help is auxiliary. Comparing Self-study exam system with the full-time college education system, the former mainly rely on self-study by the students. Then, what do they used to learn? Obviously, they take English textbook of self-study exam, which is not only the information carrier, but also is one of the important factors of education. Therefore, textbooks play a pivotal role on higher education self-study exam for students’learning. At present, along with the progress of the society, economic globalization accelerated the speed of higher education self-study exam of our country, the increasing demand for English talent that English major textbooks are particularly important for better construction and development.In theory, The making of textbooks for higher education self-study exam English major research is lacking and weak which compare with countries full-time college and some English majors of vocational technical school. In addition, in practice, it has a lot of English problems in the making the of textbooks of the English major organization and choose don’t to reasonable, practice applied knowledge is relatively rare. The content is obsolete, the innovation is deficiency and the update of making of textbooks needs a big cycle.Based on the above problems, looking for the theoretical basis of the study which higher education self-study exam English major the making of textbook; I clearly card the development process for higher education self-study exam English major from start to current textbooks; And I analyse instance which an examination of oneself students, relevant organizations and English major textbooks used by the teacher. In theory, author should try to provide basic theoretical thinking and more specific argument basis for higher education self-study exam English major the good development of the making textbook.
