Euphemism is an universal phenomenon of language, and Chinese is no exception. Chinese scholars began very early studies of euphemism, and achieved fruitful results, but there are also some insignificance.In the materials collation and research,the "Dictionary of Chinese euphemism" of Zhang Gonggui and the "Modest words and Euphemism dictionary" of Hong Chengyu carried on the complete collection and classification, but there is no system analysis.This paper take it as a starting point, analyze ancient Chinese euphemism materials,and on the basis of these,exploring the basic laws.This article is divided into five chapters. The first chapter briefly describes the research status of euphemism, the results of previous studies and the limitations and significance of this issue, sources and research methods corpus. The second chapter is divided into two parts, in the first part,present the scientific definition of euphemism,in the second part,carried on detailed classification,demonstrated the concept of social and human;In the third Chapter,discuss the ancient Chinese euphemism causes and properties.Chapter four of the article analyze the construction methods and principles of the of ancient Chinese.Chapter five of the ancient Chinese euphemism for cultural interpretation,In-depth analyze the ethics,value,family values and social system of Chinese nationality.Through the research,can initially show the basic laws of euphemism of the ancient Chinese, can study modern Chinese euphemism on the thinking and learn the ancient Chinese euphemism,can also deepen our understanding of national culture.
