Abstract


The principle of national self-determination is a modern international law, one of the basic principles established . Historically, national self-determination for the capitalist system, the establishment and development , as well as for the promotion of post-war colonial and semi-colonial areas of national liberation and independence process played an important role. The principle of national self-determination has also been established as one of the fundamental principles of contemporary international law . Now, the use of national self-determination has become a double-edged sword . As is frequently the abuse of national self-determination , making it create ethnic divisions and separatism theoretical tools . The disintegration of the former Soviet Union , Canada, Quebec referendum , events such as the disintegration of Yugoslavia , which are based on national self-determination for the underlying theory to implementation . Abuse of national self-determination is mainly through the \In modern times, the abuse of national self-determination great harm .
