Abstract


The main technique of software radio is to replace the narrowband receiver by the broadband receiver, to make the A/D and D/A transform of broadband close to the antenna, and to accomplish function by software as much as possible. Applying software radio technique to Multi-static high frequency radar can make the radar small and flexible, which is a significative task. Giving more function to software to manage will improve the maintainability of the radar system.The software system becomes the key point of the Radar system. On the premise that the hardware condition is ensured, the concrete function of radar is totally defined by software.The system software of this Multi-static high frequency radar fixed station runs in three platforms: central host, main control computer, and signal processing platform. The software running in central host contains three parts: displaying and controlling software, signal processing software and data processing software.The main function of central host software can be summarized as: basing on the Ethernet with main control computer, controlling the system to run; Recording the high speed network data in real time; Displaying system data information containing spectrum data, situation data; According to the communication between user and computer, processing the data correspondingly, and so on.According to the function above, this paper makes corresponding designs. The Network communication technique and COM technique are applied to central host and main control computer communicating with each other. DLL technique is used to realize the data protocol between the two computers. Double buffer and multithreading techniques are used to record the network data. DirectX technique is applied to spectrum display. MapX technique is used to display the radar situation.With the design scheme, this paper has realized the function of central host software. Through debugging on the three platforms, this software has proved of reliability and stability, and will help us develop more software and debug the system in future.
