Abstract

With the continuous development of Internet technology and network access technology , \into the needs of the Internet , more and more host configure multiple network interfaces of the same or different access technologies , so that the host can simultaneously use various different network interface access network . In order to provide adequate resources to the different sessions , and to improve the user experience and to ensure the safe and effective session , when connected to a different network , multi-interface host communicate with other hosts , the host must be able to based on the characteristics of each interface to select a routing policy optimum interface. However, due to the current protocol stack is developed based on a single interface host , resulting in a host of multi-interface communication limitations ; especially since routing reasons , will always choose the one interface complete all communication , which resulted in more than interface host the uneven distribution of data traffic , and a waste of resources . This paper introduces the basic concepts of the host interface , and the main problems facing the analysis and comparison of the typical program to solve the communication problems in multi-interface host ; Secondly, related concepts describe DHCPv6 protocol , message format , message flow and deployment process based on a detailed analysis of the feasibility of multi - interface host communication process by extending the DHCPv6 protocol ; then given a DHCPv6 expanded multi-interface host communication program through the extended DHCPv6 option to achieve multi-interface host and DHCPv6 server between routing policy request and response , multi-interface hosts choose the interface according to the the obtained routing strategy for the session ; then , in a Linux environment programming interfaces host communication program based on DHCPv6 extensions of various functional modules and can be based on network status or change of the interface state to trigger routing strategy update ; build interfaces host communication DHCPv6 extensions based experimental environment , the program 's feasibility , the experimental results verify that the program will significantly enhance the throughput of the host communication .
