Abstract


Geographic Information System (GIS) is a system consisting of computer hardware , software, and different methods , the system supports spatial data collection , management , processing , analysis, modeling , and to solve complex planning and management problems . GIS relying on these basic functions , and the use of spatial analysis technology , model analysis technology , network technology , database technology and data integration technology , the interpretation of a variety of system applications to meet a wide range of social and user needs . With the in-depth development of the police information technology , geographic information systems has become one of the key to building a modern public security forces . In this paper, a combination of geographic information systems and day-to-day public security police , upcoming geographic information system applied to police work , the establishment of a geographic information technology relying integrated application system . This paper summarizes the research progress of the video surveillance system at home and abroad GIS , GIS video surveillance system is an urgent need to meet the current demand for police based on GIS police with the goal of building a video surveillance system . In addition to displaying the characteristics of the GIS spatial visualization , but also to achieve the remote control and management of the massive camera , complete 110 alarm address positioning Chinese natural language , and contingency plans for design management in Xuhui Branch do certain attempt. The article describes the system to the system to achieve the overall structural design , database design , the functional demo all aspects and the key technology of the systems involved in the process of establishing elaborate . These technologies include : geocoding technology, the Chinese word segmentation technology , as well as full-text indexing technology and so on . Finally, the article summarizes the work of this stage , and pointed out that the system needs further improvement , and offers some helpful suggestions for the perfect the Xuhui desktop video monitoring system .
