Abstract

In this thesis, the author, regarding Jarud Banner as the study area, analyzes the region flora of wild vascular plants, and investigates Mongolian of Jarud Banner about the relevant knowledge and understanding of traditional botanical knowledge, the author provides a theoretical basis for the protection of plant diversity and Mongolian traditional knowledge of plants, and makes a scientific basis for exploitation of local wild plants in the Jarud Banner. The results are as follows:(1) In the Flora aspects:There are a total of 89 families,336 genera,695 species and the next level (following the same) of vascular plants in the Jarud Banner, among which have 6 families,6 genera and 13 species of ferns; 1 family,1 genus,2 species of gymnosperms; 82 families,329 genera,680 species and the next level of angiosperm. The composition of species within plant families in Jarud Banner is that Asteraceae, Poaceae, Rosaceae, Fabaceae, Ranunculaceae, etc. the few families contain more species; the composition of genus is dispersed, mainly with few species and single species. Comparing the dominant families, the dominant genera of Jarud Banner with Inner Mongolia and the right-wing in the Mongolian flag, the author finds that Jarud Banner with the other two areas are similar, but also unique in the dominant families and genera of the composition. There are 9 families with 1 genus in the Jarud Banner. In the Jarud Banner, perennial herbs are the most common in the vascular plants; and middle-growth plants have advantages in water ecosystem. Distribution type of families and generas of seed plants is mainly temperate distribution type excluding the world-distribution type in Jarud Banner.(2) In the Ethnobotany aspects:the author recorded a total of 229 folk plant names corresponding to 138 species and the next level of plants taxonomy. In terms of the Mongolian ethnic group in this area, folk names of plants is still one of the important tools that guide them to identify, manage, and use the local wild plant resources. The knowledge of traditional plants usage of Mongolian in Jarud Banner relate to the seven aspects such as food use, medicinal, fodder, construction and technology use, fuel wood use, cultural use, economic use, etc.57 species of wild plants for food use include 5 species of grain,24 species of wild vegetables,17 species of wild fruits,15 species of beverage use,8 species of seasoning use,2 species of oil use,3 species of chewing use. 37 species of wild plants for medicinal use include the 34 species of folk medicinal plants and 11 species of folk plants for veterinary drug.56 species of forage plants,7 species of poisonous plants are recorded in local grassland. 39 species of architecture and technology plants include 17 species of architectural use,1 species of dyeing use, and 26 species of technology use.
