Abstract


As the next generation network, IP bearing network, broadband IP metropolitan area network, 3 g networks and other new technology and new business operations, the operator carrying capacity of existing metro and long-distance transmission network put forward higher request. Dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) technology provides the means of high speed large capacity transmission and smooth upgrade ability of good at long distance and has been widely used in metro transmission network, the paper in view of the DWDM technology and its application in nanjing unicom network is studied. Paper first describes the DWDM principle, including system architecture, device works, the application form, the wavelength distribution, loss characteristics, dispersion and nonlinear and so on. Then a detailed analysis and research the DWDM system is the key technology of network. Thesis of nanjing metropolitan area transmission network unicom long-distance and the present situation and the demand are analyzed in detail, including the network structure, business distribution and network management, network security, etc. Thesis finally combining with engineering example, the design gives the specific nanjing unicom long-distance and metro transmission network planning scheme and application of the strategy.
