This thesis is composed by two parts : The first part of the review, including two chapters . The first chapter describes the past two decades , indole and its derivatives widely used in organic synthesis . Indole and its derivatives are widely found in nature , as an important organic synthetic raw material , covering the fields of medicine, chemical , and a wide range of applications , its value is self - evident . The second chapter describes the diacetoxy iodobenzene hypervalent iodine compounds representative in organic synthesis . Hypervalent iodine chemistry in recent years has been the rapid development, mainly because the response performance of hypervalent iodine compounds with some heavy metal reagents such as mercury ( II ) , thallium ( III ) is very similar , but no heavy metal toxicity and very friendly to the environment . This chapter on the past decade diacetoxy iodobenzene participation in organic synthesis reaction for a brief overview , mainly from oxidation, addition , rearrangement and replace several types of reactions to introduce . The second part introduces indoles trisubstituted position acetoxy done research work . With indole and diacetoxy- iodobenzene as a raw material , in the alkaline environment and close to room temperature under the condition with a shorter time to the indole 3 substitutable positions acetyl oxide , and synthesized a series of acetate - 3 - indolyl ester. During the course of the reaction , the diacetoxy- iodobenzene , both as raw materials, and also acts as the oxidant , reflects its dual role .
