Abstract

Objective: To investigate the serum and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) for the diagnosis of lung cancer . Methods: Our hospital inpatient and outpatient due to the lung shadow line electronic bronchoscopy patients with a total of 50 cases , selected patients were in the treatment or admission fasting mining cubital vein 3m1 underwent contralateral and ipsilateral bronchoalveolar lavage surgery , collected lavage fluid and serum were measured by radioimmunoassay method and contralateral and ipsilateral lavage fluid CEA level . Statistical analysis: Application SPSS15.0 package , using methods such as rank-sum test , the experimental data with a median . P lt; 0.05 considered statistically significant. Results: 50 cases selected cases of lung cancer in 28 patients were pathologically confirmed , for the first time confirmed cases , male 22 cases and 6 females , age 48-74 years , mean age ( 61.1 Guests 10.8 years) . Pathological type : adenocarcinoma , 14 cases , 12 cases of squamous cell carcinoma , small cell lung cancer patients. Tumor stage by 2002 the AJCC / the UICC lung cancer Part IV version TNM staging . Lung benign lesion in patients with a total of 22 cases , male 12 cases , 10 females , aged 28-76 years old , the average age (57 soil 20. 3) years . Six cases of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease , 10 cases of pneumonia , three cases of pulmonary benign tumors , bronchiectasis three cases . Experimental specimens BALF and serum collected in Fuzhou General Hospital of Nanjing Military Region, bronchoscopy room . Lung cancer patients serum and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid CEA level higher than benign lung lesion group (p lt; 0. 05); lung cancer patients affected lavage fluid CEA level higher than the contralateral ( p lt; 05) ; lung benign lesion group ipsilateral and contralateral lavage fluid CEA level no statistically significant difference ( p gt; 0 , 05) ; patients with adenocarcinoma of bronchoalveolar lavage fluid and serum CEA level was significantly higher than that in squamous cell carcinoma patients ( p lt; 05 ) ; clinical definition of 9 , its diagnostic sensitivity and specificity of 57.14% , 86.36% ; in BALF / serum -CEA -CEA serum CEA for the positive rate was 85.71 in BALF - CEA / serum -CEA significantly higher than the serum CEA and BALF cytology . Conclusion: The serum and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid contralateral and ipsilateral CEA has a certain sense to distinguish between of pulmonary benign and malignant lesions to distinguish adenocarcinoma , squamous cell carcinoma , and improve the detection rate of lung cancer .
