This paper chooses the discourse in DAY DAY UP as research material. We will use theory interpretation、observation depiction、case analyses to research the deliver means of turn-talking between host and host, host and guest, guest and guest, and then discover the differences in how they get the talk turn, sustain the talk turn and how to give it up.In the talk turn, both the hosts and the guests step upwards to talk as the signal hints, which includes verbal and non-verbal ones, and the former is used more often than the latter. The host will use many methods to get the talk turn, to maintain it or to give it up. Meanwhile the guests’ methods seem a little simplistic, in term of the guest’s status and position, for their talk turns are controlled by the host. This is the main part of the paper, we will find that the ways hosts and guests take in getting the talk turn are quite different, and that all these are depended on the special language environment of the TV program. However, in the talk turn there is also one same way that both hosts and guests will take, the ensemble, in which case the louder speaker will get the turn-talking.The talk turn structures in DAY DAY UP concludes adjacency pair, the insertion series, the ensemble and the repetation, in which the latter two series used more often, as the standard adjacency pair is not very common, since it will be very troublesome if hosts and guests are both talkative.The different features that showed out between hosts and guests in talk turning is the main factor that effect DAY DAY UP’S talk turn. Meanwhile, the cooperation principle, politeness principle, manner theory、connection、adaptation、dialogue power and the humorous effect of language are all the factors that influence the turn-talking in the TV program. And all these made DAY DAY UP program’s shows its own characters while sticking to the common rules of TV programs. But its particular character matches Sacks’ principles of turn-talking.
