Abstract


By material argument, from phenomenon of Mongolian traditional sports recorded in relevant Mongolian researches to formation of sports thought evolving in the process of Mongolian history, in this paper, I make a deep research on the thought, and argue the critically promoting function derived by "Three skills of men" and the intelligent games for the development of Mongolian society.Mongolia who originally inhabited in Mongolian Plateau was a humble ethnos, whom adapted to the nature and the law of social development, becoming a strong nation eventually all over the world. In this process, the Mongolian, depending all by themselves, taking advantage of their sturdy bodies for labor and military, integrated all the forces available. Post-horses, sharpened arrows and the powerful wrestlers all played a crucial role, which never should be ignored in eradicating enemies and funding prosperous Mongolian Empire,Not only emphasizing body building in their product activities, but also the Mongolian focused on reasoning enhancing. They had their children engage in intelligent games to foster proper philosophy for them. Asserting the youth should be well-educated and trained in military exercises, they insert "The Three Skills of Men"----Mongolian Chess, Grid Chess, Cijisaga (Galeha) into family and school education to enrich the moral education.Hunting which was initially a way of obtaining food later evolved military drill, which played an important role in regulating army organization, boosting operational abilities and army disciplines. It became a main diversion manner among nobility class as well. Hunting and "The Three Skills of Men" combined to fertilize the life of Mongolian high society.
