Abstract


Workers in their own career choices are guided by values, according to their career aspirations and interests, by virtue of their ability to choose occupations, so that their ability to match the quality and characteristics of the process of career needs. With urbanization strategy, and vigorously promote and carry out economic reform, China's farmers and herdsmen in the country for many years in order to survive and develop the flow of towns. As China's urban-rural income gap is huge and as urbanization, the rural per capita arable land area decreased, the rural population increased, increased mechanization in rural areas, there has been a large number of rural surplus labor force, thus the number of migrant herdsmen gradually expanded , the city has become a huge and special groups of farmers and herdsmen. Migrant herdsmen distributed in various fields to enrich the urban and rural economy, the city has made a significant contribution to the construction of so many scholars from different angles on a dual identity of farmers and herdsmen were studied. This article from the perspective of career choice, on the one hand to adapt to the new changes in the labor supply and demand, and promote the harmonious development of society, the urgent need to improve the professional level of migrant farmers and herdsmen. The other hand, to enhance the social status of minority farmers and herdsmen into the city, to achieve social harmony and development, but also an urgent need to improve the professional level of migrant farmers and herdsmen. Local farmers and herdsmen and urban migrant workers compared to a narrow range of career choices, mainly in commerce, construction, services and other low-level vocational, technical and managerial work in professional high proportion of relatively low-level occupations. Such migrant herdsmen occupational distribution, partly due to their own factor, because migrant herdsmen low levels of human capital, could not do the high skill requirements of occupations. The other is an external factor, because there is a certain urban labor market segmentation, limiting access to certain minority migrant herdsmen occupations.
