Abstract


In a mobile communication system, due to the mobility of the user, the network shall at all times identify the location of the mobile station, it is an important part of the mobility management (Mobility Management), the location area is developed based on this concept. Many of the cell is divided in a different location area, a location update (Location Update) will be carried out when the mobile station across location area boundaries, the standby state, but also periodic location update request to the network, in order to inform the system of its latest location information; When the network to initiate a certain mobile station of the called initiated in all cells of the location area of ??a paging (Paging) to establish communications. Visible location updating and paging are performed in units of a location area. Whether it is a location update or paging must consume network resources, and both are related to the size and shape of the location area, the location area is too Assembly causes more paging costs, the location area is too small will produce frequent location updates, but in in reality, we expect both reach the minimum, seen two a contradiction, therefore, reasonable area communication network location zoning in order to achieve the optimal location management costs, become the focus of our research. Location area planning for the appropriate model for different network problems, were used in the selection of the algorithm, the simulated annealing and evolutionary algorithms to achieve. First, a new method based on simulated annealing classified location area, take an adaptive strategy to adjust the number of location area, combined with the effective design of simulated annealing operator to overcome the usual algorithm easy to fall into local optimal solution the drawbacks while avoiding invalid search by location area planning in the three groups under the network environment, the experiment has achieved better results, show that the effectiveness of the algorithm. Focus from the reality based the road statistics as well as switch statistics based on the location area optimization model. In the usual location area planning mathematical model, basically just consider the data model of the cell theory, while ignoring the actual geographical factors of the environment, such as the mountain rivers, roads, etc. the objective function of the location area, fluidity and just use the user data to describe the inter-cell compared to the correlation, based on the model established on the basis of geographical factors more authenticity.
