In the 1970 s, Hong Kong and Singapore are to transform the economy into emerging economies, a sharp rise in the influence of the world economy and international competitiveness, with South Korea, China Taiwan and said the "Asian tigers". But with the acceleration of economic globalization and regional economic integration, the development of Hong Kong and Singapore is facing new challenges and opportunities, in order to deal with challenges and seize the development opportunities, the two began to implement similar economic development strategy, internationalization strategy, however, due to the influence of multiple factors, such as politics, economy, Hong Kong and Singapore show certain differences to implement internationalization strategy. In this paper, using the method of comparative analysis, summarized research methods such as comparative analysis of the similarities and differences between Hong Kong and Singapore international economic development strategy, and from the political and economic systems, geography environment, the international competitiveness aspects analyses the causes of these similarities and differences, through a series of comparison, can be more clear, finding the gap between Hong Kong and Singapore, is conducive to the further development of Hong Kong to absorb and draw lessons from Singapore experience. Finally, the author based on the comparative study of Hong Kong and Singapore put forward policies and Suggestions to promote the development of Hong Kong, hope that will help to maintain Hong Kong's continued prosperity and stability.
